This flexible cover fits only C600-2102 or T600-2364 ballstuds. Of the same material as Chance line hose, nonconductive cover may help prevent flashover on ball studs installed in enclosed switchgear, switchyards or substations. An environmental protector to reduce corrosion and contamination on the ball-stud when energized cover is not intended for personnel protection and should not be considered as insulative cover-up equipment. Provides 400 volts per mil puncture strength. Resilient ozone/corona-resistant thermoplastic elastomer does not absorb water. Special formulation resists aging/checking and retains high-visibility orange color. Snap-fit keeps cover in place. The 5/8"-I.D. loop at top permits hot-line tools to “pop” it on and off. Chance silicone lubricant C400-2320 or C417-0287 may ease installation and removal.
