An eight position rotary switch selects high voltage ranges. As the High Voltage Detector is moved closer to the voltage carrying conductor, its sensor head detects the high voltage carrying conductor's radiated electric field.

Non Contact High Voltage Detector Features

Designed to detect presence of high voltage without direct physical contact

An eight or ten position rotary switch selects detection range; as sensor is moved closer to energized conductor, sensor head picks up radiated electric field; once threshold is reached, buzzer sounds and bright red warning light flashes

For indoor or outdoor use

User can manually self-test on standard model; an automatic self-test beeps every two seconds on advanced model, reassuring operator of proper operation

Wide range of detection...finds 80V to 275kV; just one instrument fits all applications

Lightweight, minimizes sway at end of longer hot sticks

Selected voltage is detected approximately 10" away from voltage source; greater detection distances can be obtained at lower voltage positions on switch

Large bright red warning light (two leds)

Loud piezo buzzer

Rotary selector switch with following settings: OFF | TEST | 240V | 6kV | 11kV | 22kV | 33kV | 132kV | 275kV

Battery compartment/handle holds (3) "C" batteries

Universal spline on end for connection to any standard hotstick;

Included adapter allows use with shotgun clamp-sticks
