Ultrasonic Leak Detection

Mainly used for picking up the high frequency (hissing) sounds generated by leaks from a pressurized system. Generally used for detection of  gas leaks but can, in some situations, be used for liquid leaks as well. Pinpointing the areas where leaks occur can be time consuming and very costly. These ultrasonic tools are designed to save you time and increase the accuracy in locating even the smallest leaks. Mitchell Instruments offer a wide variety of detectors to help you save time and increase productivity of your facility. For non-pressurized systems some of our kits include a high frequency tone generator that emits sounds that the escapes from the vessel's cracks or holes (if any) and will be picked up (on the outside) by the ultrasonic detectors to help determine if the vessel has a leak free integrity.
