- Ideal for a variety of field & repair shop HV testing applications, they feature a 120V input with built-in capacitive compensation allowing a 3kVA load to be tested with only 1kVA input power draw
- High voltage insulation integrity testing of substation and/or overhead electrical apparatus, switchgear, circuit breakers, automatic circuit reclosers (ACR's), pole-top & pad-mounted transformers, motorized vacuum switches (MVS's), fault inter-rupters, bushings, fuses, arrestors, motors, insulators & cutouts
- Also suitable for Applied Voltage testing of rubber goods & personal protective safety equipment
- Common control features include dual range kilovoltmeters, output current meter, "Zero-start" and external safety interlocks, HV back-up breaker, output variac, internally controlled compensation reactors and overload relay (factory set at 120% of rated output)
